Mosquito Control

Summertime in East Tennessee is almost perfect. Unfortunately, just one thing takes away from its beauty – those pesky mosquitoes. Mosquitoes are annoying and uncomfortable, but they also carry viruses like West Nile and Zika. On top of the diseases that affect people, mosquitoes can also carry diseases that harm dogs and horses, including heartworms and equine encephalitis.

So, how can you keep mosquitoes from ruining your time outside and potentially causing harm to your family? Through our solution to help you win back your yard! At Rainscapes, we treat your most vulnerable areas, including trees, shrubs, and foliage, to target and kill adult mosquitoes.

The solutions we use are safe for children and pets once they dry. After a short period, your family can run and play outside without the annoyance or fear of mosquitoes disrupting the day. It’s important to note that no treatment will eliminate mosquitoes from your yard, but our process will provide noticeable relief and allow for outdoor activities all summer long!

The solutions we use also help eliminate fleas and ticks from your yard and from harming your pets.

While we handle the pesticides and ensure that we target the most common areas for mosquitoes to lay their eggs, including tree holes, water buckets, toys, bird feeders and baths, shrubs, and old tires, there are a few precautions homeowners can take to help keep mosquitoes, fleas, and ticks at bay.

  • Remove and replace water. This includes standing water in gutters, buckets, toys, and more and replacing water in kiddie pools, birdbaths, and fountains. We recommend treating it with chlorine and circulating the water often if you have a pool.
  • Use structural barriers. Keeping windows and doors closed to prevent mosquitoes or other pests from entering your home will do wonders. Ensure that screens are in proper working order and no cracks or gaps in your door or window frames.

At Rainscapes, we love the outdoors, and we know that you do too. We’re happy that we can help you enjoy being outside with your family and friends. If mosquitoes, fleas, or ticks are ruining your summer plans, give us a call. We’ll get you on the schedule ASAP so that you can continue enjoying your summer.
